SIYANI Thomas scored twice as Overton United moved up to 13th in the Hampshire Premier League, after a 3-0 win at Headley United.
The home side dominated the game from the start and Thomas scored the opening goal after 25 minutes, as a corner was cleared out to him.
On the hour mark the visitors made it 2-0 as Alex Jupp's through ball found Nathan Rae. The Overton player then ran from inside his own half out on the left and glided past the last defender, before he unleashed a great shot which flew into the top corner.
Then with 10 minutes left in the contest, Thomas grabbed his second of the game to complete a great 3-0 win.
The visitors still had time for further chances, as Thomas was denied a hat-trick and then Rae a fourth by some great saves by the home goalkeeper.
For Overton 19-year-old centre half Archie Fletcher, had an outstanding game against two very robust Headley forwards, who never had a sniff all game.
Captain Kirk Smith who normally plays in the central of midfield, played at centre back and led by example.
A delighted Overton boss Titch Bloomfield said: "It was a great team performance we were missing a few and players had to play out of position and all did a great job.
"It was a superb win as Headley are a physical, but fair side, so I was really pleased with the result."
Tonight, Overton are in action in the Andover Open Cup semi-final against South Wonston Swifts, which is being played at Charlton Leisure Centre.
