READING extended their unbeaten run in the Championship to three games, after they drew 0-0 with promotion chasing Middlesbrough at the Madejski Stadium.
Adam Reach had the first chance for the visitors, but his shot only found the side netting.
Middlesbrough had the better of the first 45 minutes, but could not find the net.
Reading had their best spell of the game early in the second-half, when Pavel Pogrebnyak headed over Jordan Obita’s free-kick.
There were also other chances from Hal Robson-Kanu, Michael Hector and Obita.
Reading goalie Adam Federici made two great saves to earn his side a point, as he kept out Albert Adomah’s header and Patrick Barnard’s 25-yard shot.
After the game Royals’ boss Steve Clarke said: “I was pleased to go in 0-0 at half-time and felt we played a lot better in the second-half. We can thank Adam (Federici) for the point.”
Next up for Reading, who are 17th in the table, is a trip to Fulham on Saturday (kick-off 3pm). The London side are currently one place below them.
