SAM Argent hit a hat-trick as Hartley Wintney bounced back to winning ways with a 4-1 win away at local rivals Farnham Town on Saturday.
Hartley had been beaten 5-0 by struggling Guildford City five days earlier, but they produced a much-improved display to see off mid-table Farnham.
Argent scored the only goal of the first half, finding the net after good play from Lukas Burt. The same player headed home to double the lead early in the second period, but Farnham soon responded, reducing the deficit to a single goal.
Hartley were not to be denied though. Ross Cook made it 3-1 with a fine strike, before Argent completed his hat-trick, finishing off a fine move.
The win leaves Hartley seventh in the Combined Counties League Premier Division table, but they face a tough game next up, welcoming third-placed Molesey to the Memorial Ground on Saturday.
