KAI Parton-Edey and Dan Alliston both bagged a brace as AFC Aldermaston beat Hampshire Premier League bottom side Bishops Waltham Town 5-0.

Aldermaston opened the scoring with 16 minutes on the clock, Michael Porter beating a couple of men before putting in a low cross that Parton-Edey converted. The same player doubled the lead before half-time, slotting home after being put through by Chris Allen.

Alliston made sure of the points on 70 minutes after being put through by Kevin Blake. Alliston scored again five minutes later, slotting home after playing a one-two with Kevin Flain.

Porter completed the scoring with 10 minutes to go, beating several men before playing a one-two with Flain and rounding the goalkeeper.

Manager Terry Rooney said: “It was a very good win and quite deserved. We dominated the game from start to finish and I was happy because we had three regulars missing.”

The win means Aldermaston are now 13th in the table ahead of a trip to Liss Athletic, who are one place above them, on Saturday.

Rooney added: “Liss is a tough place to go to and I expect a tough game – but we go there full of confidence and hoping to get a result.”

Overton United are through in the Hampshire Intermediate Cup after being handed a walkover by Portsmouth League outfit St Helena Bobs. They host Hedge End Rangers on Saturday.
