KENNET Ospreys match at Gold Valley’s Gold Lake saw Bartosz Recki draw the form peg yet again and win with 62lb 7oz of carp on bomb and wafter pellet.

At the next peg Ian Jones put bomb and pellet to good use and weighed in 47lb 8oz, Matt Stainer caught 30lb 10oz of carp on bomb and pellet followed by Simon (the god) Kiefer on 24lb 7oz. Fifteen fished a chilly venue and some did not weigh in.

Adventure AS were at Whitehouse Lake and Rob Gallagher sorted it with 56lb 12oz of carp on pole and banded pellet.

Darren Wright caught an even 28lb of carp on pole and pellet, Dave Stratford-Way used pole and mag for his 18lb 2oz with Steve Telford making up the frame on 16lb 8oz. Fourteen fished and caught.

Camrose AC fished their latest fixture at Soke Road Lake where match secretary Pip Seeny topped out on 32lb 8oz of carp on pole and maggot. Tony Holdswoth caught 23lb 10oz of mixed on pole and maggot. Pete Morris was next with 22lb 12oz followed by Ralph Sneddon’s 22lb 4oz. Eleven fished and caught.

Old Barlows Lake has been stocked with 15,000 mixed silver fish, 300 bream to 4lb, 200 skimmer bream, 700lb of smaller carp, 38 21/2lb common carp, 700 mirror carp and 30 2lb tench, whilst 500 1lb carp went into Soke Road Lake and with even more big bream to come I'm confident Stacys Fishing Club’s stocking policy will provide bumper catches in warmer climes.

Catch me next week.
