THERE was a 13 goal thriller at Brighton Hill where Sherborne St John emerged 7-6 winners at Basingstoke Labour in the Basingstoke and District League Division One.

With five league defeats in a row for the Labour Club, they have slipped into the danger zone, while Sherborne remain second in the table.

Sherborne took a 3-0 lead as Tobie Judd scored twice and Ibrahim Warheed slotted home a penalty.

By half-time the visitors led 7-2 their goals coming from John Uezzell, Alex Izzo and Judd completing his hat trick, while Cameron George was on target for Labour.

After the break the home side scored four times with three coming from Matt Kelly and George completed his hat trick.

Hampshire Irons had to cancel their game against Twenty Ten due to lack of players. The points are now likely to be awarded to their opponents.

Basingstoke United remains on track for the Division Two title, after a 2-0 win against Winklebury Wizards.

Wizards are no pushovers as after three wins on the bounce, and they had a good first half.

Only a fantastic save from Jamie Sallows prevented Connor Stratton scoring a 20-yard hot shot and Dom Stephens hit the post.

Just after the hour mark, United took the lead as Tom Hartley converted a pass from Joe Cook.

Wizards were again unlucky not to equalise when first Adam Bartlett hit the post and also the woodwork stopped Dan Costen.

After 70 minutes, United scored their second. James Lucas the scorer with a header from a Gus Reis cross.

Herriard Sports continue their excellent season by beating AFC Berg 10-1 to keep in touch with the leaders.

They started well with a goal from Adam Francis in the third minute and never looked back.

Chris Dobbie and Alex Roberts made it 3-0 after 32 minutes.

Sam Weber set up Francis for the fourth and then laid on the fifth for Roberts.

The second half saw Roberts scored with a header from a cross by Adam Nelson.

Dobbie then scored his second to see his side 7-0 up before Shane West scored for Berg.

Dobbie completed his hat trick, as did Roberts and player/manager Craig Lewington made it double figures before time.

AFC Aldermaston A moved up to fourth after a 2-0 win at TDI Group, as Kevin Flain and Ash Jones scored.

Bounty United remain a point behind the leaders after a 6-2 win over visiting Overton United B 6-2.

They led 3-0 at half time and although Overton did pull a goal back on 50 minutes when Paul Eldridge played through Jamal Rose to score.

Bounty added two more, before sub Brodie Good scored his second for the visitors assisted by Liam Randall. Four goals for Bounty were scored by Matt Love, with singles for Andy Darmody and Jordon Willis.
