HOOK returned to the top of the Basingstoke and District Saturday League Division One after a 3-0 home win against a make shift Labour Club side.

Labour made a good start and only some very good saves from Greg Archer prevented Cameron George and Paul Gadson giving Hook a fright.

Hook opened their account on 20 minutes when Andy Parker scored following a Jack McKee assist.

They were then awarded a penalty, but Aaron King fired it high over the bar, but King atoned for his error as he made it 2-0.

George forced another save from Archer before substitute Steven Price set-up King for the third.

Tadley Calleva A are still in the hunt for the title and accounted for visitors DJS Telecoms with a 6-1 victory at Barlow’s Park.

Kye Theodore was in the limelight with another four goals and took his tally for the season to an incredible 39.

His first came on 16 minutes after he beat the offside trap from a Gary Hibbs pass.

In the 39th minute he put away a cut back from Michael Abbott and he then completed his hat-trick from another Hibbs assist. Hibbs himself made it 4-0 at the break.

Tadley added a fifth after Stephen Burgess sent Theodore through.

A Peter Lomax penalty for DJS Telecoms made it 5-1, but Tadley scored a sixth by Peter White.

The short reign of Sherborne St John as leaders was halted when they were beaten 2-1 by visiting TwentyTen In the tenth minute, Jake Tanner won a vital tackle in the box which saw Joe Hill pick up the loose ball and he gave goalkeeper Darren Gary no chance.

The second goal for TwentyTen came after 38 minutes when a lofted free-kick from Tanner left goalkeeper Gary exposed.

He ran some 40 yards in an effort to clear, but was beaten by Jack Clarke who scored.

Sherborne pulled a goal back after an hour as Alex Izzo's corner avoided all in the box and ended up in the net. After this Jack Nicholson in the TwentyTen goal made one on one saves from Toby Judd and Sachin Rae.

Ben Peirce scored a late minute winner as Overton United A beat Hampshire Irons 2-1.

The opening goal came early in the second half as Irons' Craig Hopper headed in Ben Haskins' free-kick.

Overton equalised from Sammy Aldori's penalty and then Peirce scored the winner.

BOUNTY United went back on the top of Division Two after they beating visiting AFC Aldermaston A 3-2.

Aldermaston took the lead after 15 minutes through Tony Johnson after goalkeeper Richie Vinn mishandled. Bounty soon levelled when Andy Darmody played Matt Love through, he then took on two men and slotted home.

In the 55th minute Steven Horton was bundled over and Darmody scored from the spot.

The lead was increased two minutes later, when a cut back by Love led to a tap in from Horton.

Aldermaston's Johnson had two good chances one-on-one with Vinn, before Brad Nicholson managed to beat the Bounty goalkeeper.

Overton United B kept their interest in the title as they are one point adrift, after beating AFC Berg 3-2 with the winner from Paul Ralph coming in the last minute.

A back pass led to Rob Perrett playing through for Liam Randall to give them the lead after 11 minutes.

Perrett put them 2-0 up at the interval after being set up by Richard Spiers.

Berg replied when a free-kick from Lance Forster was put away by Vincent Mundane.

There was five minutes to play when Berg were awarded a penalty, which was dispatched by Forster to level things.

The late winner came after Ralph headed home a Tita Martins free kick.
