TWENTY TEN booked their place in the semi finals of the Hampshire Junior A Cup after beating Shanklin Reserves 1-0, their lone goal was netted by substitute Franklin Spacagna.

TwentyTen winner came as a cross from Joe Osborne found Joe Hill, his shot was well saved, but the rebound fell to Christian Cox, again the goalkeeper could only parry and it finally came out to Spacagna who gave the goalie no chance with his drive.

BASINGSTOKE Athletic found some form and won 8-4 against Basingstoke Labour Club, but are still remain bottom of the Basingstoke and District Saturday Division One on goal difference, with both Hampshire Irons and Overton United A.

Dale Bristow and Ryan Evans gave them a 2-0 lead and after Cameron George replied for Labour, Evans soon made it 3-1.

Back came Labour to level through Nat Reid and Matt Kelly, but Athletic led at the break when Mike Borbery netted.

It became 4-4 when Kelly scored his second, but when Paul Taylor nosed Athletic in front, before Adam Smith bagged a brace and Bristow scored their eighth. There was a late penalty save by James Lounton as he denied George.

BASINGSTOKE United beat AFC Aldermaston A 3-1 to keep up their promotion push in Division Two.

They took the lead after six minutes from Jamie Lucas and then on the hour mark Lewis Clayton made it 2-0.

Aldermaston replied from substitute Andy Hynes, before United's third goal came from Gus Reis.

Winklebury Wizards have languished at the bottom all season, but came good against Basingstoke Athletic Reserves, winning 7-0. A half volley by Dom Stevens put them ahead in the fourth minute and Scotty Winterborne netted on the 19 minute mark. Adam Bartlett made it 3-0 by the break and a Bartlett free-kick put them four up.

In the 57th minute Stevens netted again and then Bartlett completed his hat-trick. Stevens scored his third, when his penalty kick was saved and he put away the rebound.

More good news for the Wizards is that they are now in the final of the North Hants Junior Cup at Whitchurch on Wednesday March 16 (7.30pm), after their semi-final opponents were thrown out of the competition for playing ineligible players.
