HOOK returned to the top of Basingstoke and District League Division One after beating visiting Hampshire Irons 7-3.
The home side took the lead from a Tom Davies penalty, before Charlie Henry equalised.
Hook then scored three times before half-time from Andy Parker, Aaron King and Davies.
Parker scored again before James Ashford netted Irons' second with an overhead kick.
Parker completed his hat trick and King soon made it 7-2 and then Irons netted a third from Anton Medford.
Sherborne St John surrendered top spot as they went down 3-2 at home to DJS Telecoms who moved off bottom of the table.
Sherborne took lead from Alex Izzo, but DJS levelled from an Ashley Elward penalty and went ahead from a 20-yard shot from Nick Saunders.
After the break, Sherborne equalised as Tom Brickley headed home, before DJS winner came from Jason Freathy.
