BASINGSTOKE Royals recovered from two goals down to beat visiting Whitenap on penalties and progress in the North Hants Senior Cup on Sunday.

Amit Bhuller pulled a goal back and scrambled in an equaliser in the final minute to force a shoot-out, which Royals won 5-4, with James McIntosh saving the last Whitenap kick.

Dayer's Fine Foods gained revenge on FILO for a county cup defeat earlier in the season, winning the rematch on penalties.

Goals from Jake Tanner and Joe Hill had Dayer's two goals up, but FILO hit back to force extra-time, during which both sides scored, making it 3-3.

Both sides scored their first eight penalties before Dayer's goalkeeper Jack Nicholson saved a kick and stepped up to bury the winner.

After conceding an early goal, Tron led Pharmasol Appleshaw Sports 3-1 at half-time thanks to a Dave Parry hat-trick. Michael Morey scored twice after the break, with Chris Morris also finding the net, as Tron went on to win 6-2.

FC Everest beat Soldiers Return 1-0 thanks to a Alex Spencer strike, while Wheatsheaf beat FC Basing 5-0 and Basingstoke Saints progressed as Halfway United were unable to raise a team.

Republic of Chineham made their exit, beaten 5-2 by visiting Andover Sports, while Oakley lost 8-0 at home to Arms Athletic.
