OVERTON United A opened up a five point gap at the top of Basingstoke and District League Division One after they beat DJS Telecoms 5-2.

DJS took a two goal lead after John Clarke headed home a long throw from Lee Neal and then Kevin Banning played through Neal for a second.

Overton hit back to level by half-time, after goals from Ben Evans and Siyanni Thomas.

Allan Morgan looked to have equalised for DJS only to see it ruled out for offside.

Thomas then completed his hat-trick and then John Gurney netted Overton’s fifth.

Hampshire Irons left it late to beat TwentyTen 3-2 as Kieran Dent equalised a minute from time and then scored the winner in added time.

Earlier in the contest, TwentyTen led 2-0 at half-time thanks to goals from Joe Osborne and Jake Tanner.

Irons opened their account on 65 minutes from Gavin Curry, before Dent late show won the game.
