HARTLEY Wintney II's Andrew O'Kelly is north Hampshire's in-form batsman, having hit successive centuries in Hampshire Cricket League County Division Three.

The batsman hit 130 in a losing team last week, but he was on the winning side on Saturday, Hartley beating visiting Steep by six wickets.

Steep reached 211-8 from their innings but O'Kelly hit exactly 100 as the hosts cruised to victory.

Hook and Newnham Basics III sit fourth in the table after claiming a six-wicket win away at South Wilts III.

Keith Lovelock (3-22) and Barry Goodman (3-39) starred with the ball as the home side were restricted to 207-9. Harry Warner (65), Dan Moore (47) and Will Buckingham (42) got the majority of the runs in Hook's successful chase.

Kallum Watta starred with both bat and ball as Hobos beat visiting South Newton by 126 runs.

The all-rounder top-scored with the bat, making 83, while Ahmed Khan hit 74 as Hobos reached 229. Watta then finished the job with the ball, taking 5-10 as the visitors were dismissed for 103.

The other two north Hampshire sides in the division suffered defeats. Overton lost by 74 runs at home to Flamingo, being bowled out for 160 chasing 234-8, while bottom side AWE Tadley were skittled out for 51 and lost by nine wickets away at Fair Oak II.

Hook and Newnham Basics II suffered a seven-wicket defeat at home to OTs and Romsey II in Division One. Andy Darmondy's unbeaten 75 saw them to 208-8, but it was a total that they could not defend.

Basingstoke and North Hants II are second in Division Two after beating visiting Rowledge by two wickets. Harry Smith took 3-14 as Rowledge were bowled out for 147, while former first-team captain Russell Droy top-scored with 52 in the winning reply.

Old Basing also recorded a home win, beating Redlynch and Hale by four wickets. The visitors made 206-2, but Dan Belcher (49) and Darren Bell (43) led Basing to victory.

It was a bad day for north Hampshire sides in Division Four North.

Jim Bevan hit 57, but Whitchurch could only make 193-9 away at Amesbury and the hosts went on to record a six-wicket win.

Oakley lost at home, going down by 34 runs to league leaders Steeple Langford. Dan Sumner took three wickets as Oakley bowled the visitors out for 172 and while Scott Bright hit 53, the hosts could only muster 138 in reply.
