Hook and Newnham Basics' Southern Electric t20 Cup campaign came to an end in the first round at Havant on Sunday.
The Southern League Premier Division leaders posted an imposing 158-7 from their 20 overs before bowling Hook out for 115 to win by 43 runs.
The hosts chose to bat after winning the toss and their top order was in fine form, with a string of good partnerships helping them to reach 140-4 at one point.
Two quick wickets for spinner Keiran Thomson slowed the run-rate down, but the hosts went on to set Hook a target of 159 for victory.
The north Hampshire side's struggles with the bat continued as they found themselves 4-3 at one point, a position from which they were unable to recover.
Josh Buckingham and Gary Binns put up some resistance, each making 33, but wickets fell regulary at the other end and the visitors lost their final wicket in the 18th over.
