HOOK and Newnham Basics lost ground on Southern League Division One leaders New Milton after their home game against Andover was washed out on Saturday.
This was after heavy rain on Friday had managed to get under the covers.
Meanwhile, the top side in the division enjoyed a maximum points win over visiting Totton and Eling which sent them to the foot of the table.
Hook will hope for better luck next week, when they travel to local rivals Hartley Wintney looking to avenge a defeat earlier in the season.
