DAN Scott scored his first ever goal for the Basingstoke Bison, as they completed a clean sweep of league victories at the Hive with a 5-2 success over the Bracknell Bees.


The visitors were quickly out of the blocks and opened the scoring after 61 seconds as Ciaran Long and Dan Davies combined for Scott to fire home.


The first penalty of the game saw the Herd double their advantage as Davies scored on the powerplay as he converted Tomas Karpov's pass.


The Bees hauled themselves back into the contest, after Alex Barker scored at 11:55 and it remained a one goal game to the first buzzer.
The home side then levelled things as former Bison Shaun Thompson scored.


However, by the second buzzer the game was over, as the Bison scoring three times in the final five minutes of the session.


Derek Roehl put the Herd back in front with a nice strike and Matt Towalski added the Herd's fourth.


The only penalty of the period arrived in the final minute and saw Bracknell's player/coach Lukas Smital depart for cross checking.
Long with three seconds left before the hooter made it 5-2.


The final period saw the Bison swap their netminders with Dan Weller-Evans taking over from Tomas Hiadlovsky and the Brit did a fine job in his first league ice time of the season as turned away all eight shots he faced.


His opposite number Alex Mettam also did well to keep the Herd out in the final 20 minutes on his way to the man of the match award.


Rene Jarolin for the second night running was the Bison man of the match as his three assists took his weekend's points tally to an impressive nine points and is he now is the club's top points scorer this season.
