Full-time - Basingstoke Town 0 Dartford 1

Town are still in the tie - but they have a steep incline to climb in the second leg on Sunday. They certainly did themselves proud though and it was a great game that they didn't deserve to lose.

They might live to regret McAuley's miss though - and 1-1 would have been a fair result.

Live updates from the second leg will be provided on basingstokegazette.co.uk/sport, with full coverage in The Monday Gazette.

89 min - Noble is booked for a foul on Smart as Town look to break.

88 min - Sills and Smart are booked in quick succession. Sills for dissent and Smart for a stupid foul.

84 min - Sam-Yorke again does well down the right but his end product is neither a cross or a shot and it flies over and wide of the far post.

82 min - Dartford have the ball in the net - but only because of a clear barge on Bayes, and the referee awards a free-kick.

79 min - McAuley plays Sam-Yorke in following a mistake in the Dartford defence - but the striker is flagged for offside and sees his shot smothered by Wells.

72 min - Wells flaps at a cross and the ball drops for Sills - but the goalkeeper makes amends by making a fine block.

A couple of corners later and Lake sees an effort hacked off the line. It was a comfortable clearance though.

68 min - And it should be 1-1. Sam-Yorke does brilliantly down the right and fizzes the ball across goal. Wells is out of the game and it should be a tap-in at the far post for McAuley - but he stabs it wide. A terrible miss.

62 min - A deep corner from the right is headed across goal. Gasson gets his head to it but it's just too close to Wells.

The attendance is a very good 1,691.

60 min - Town are having a decent spell of possession and territory but Dartford look comfortable at the back. They seem to have settled for 1-0.

55 min - Gasson gets up to meet a corner but fails to get enough on his header, which goes well wide.

48 min - Warner smashes in a speculative effort from 35 yards that dips nicely but still goes well over.

46 min - Town get the second half under way. Both sides remain unchanged.

Half-time - Basingstoke Town 0 Dartford 1

That's an awful time to concede and a shame for the hosts, who started nervously but have grown into the game as it went on. A big 45 minutes coming up.

Dartford goal - And it's a great strike by Noble from 20 yards. The Town defence were stretched by Danny Harris and the ball broke for the winger, who smashed an unerring strike into the bottom corner.

45+2 min - GOAL - Basingstoke Town 0 Dartford 1 (Noble)

44 min - Champion is booked for a check on Sam-Yorke as he looks to cut inside from the left.

42 min - Jay Gasson makes a great challenge to deny Lee Noble a shooting chance after some brilliant footwork by the winger.

41 min - Sam-Yorke does brilliantly to control Robert Rice's pass on halfway before making ground down the left but with the angle getting tighter by the second he blasts well over.

38 min - Lake is penalised for handball right on the left side of the area and the free-kick is headed narrowly wide at the back post by Dartford's Luke Wilkinson. A decent chance.

35 min - There's been a bit of a lull and it's more even now, with Town starting to string a few passes together.

28 min - Dartford go down the other end and Danny Harris' low shot is saved by the legs of Bayes.

27 min - Warner puts a cross in and it's so close to an own-goal as Tom Champion's header lobs over Wells and drops inches wide of the far post.

Wells flaps at the resulting corner and Lake's lobbed effort has to be cleared away from the six-yard box.

24 min - And that's Town's best moment of the game so far. They play the ball through midfield for once and Shaun McAuley finds space between the lines to run forward and fire in a shot that forces a good save out of Louis Wells diving to his left.

20 min - Town have struggled to deal with Dartford's intensity in midfield so far but a nice pass from Lake puts Matt Warner away down the right and Ogunbote heads over the crossbar.

13 min - Dartford are well on top and when Robert Rice concedes a free-kick on the right side of the area, a dangerous cross flashes across goal.

8 min - Town are looking nervy at the back and Dartford are on the front foot, with Rogers heading well wide from 15 yards.

6 min - Dartford's first corner is only cleared as far as James Rogers on the edge of the area and his volley forces Ashley Bayes to make a decent save, tipping the ball over the bar.

4 min - Town force the first corner of the match but nothing comes of it.

1 min - Dartford get the game under way. Town will be shooting towards the Clubhouse End in the first half.

There is a decent crowd in, with more people still queing to get inside.

Team news - Town make just one change to the side that drew with Welling to earn a place in the play-offs. Jide Ogunbote is fit to take his place in midfield, so Stuart Lake returns from suspension to replace Ross Adams in the centre of defence.

Steven Old is not in the squad as he is in Iceland on trial.

Town: Bayes, Smart, Warner, Rice, Gasson, Lake, Daly, McAuley, Sills, Sam-Yorke, Ogunbote. Subs: Pratt, Little, Charlick, Gradwell, Morris.

Dartford: Wells, Burns, Green, Bonner, Wilkinson, Champion, Noble, Rogers, Erskine, Bradbrook, Harris. Subs: Hayes, Garrod, Graham, Goodacre, Young.

7:28pm - The atmosphere is building nicely as the ground fills up. Looks like it should be a pretty healthy crowd.

Despite all of the recent rain, the pitch looks in good shape, which should suit Town's passing style.

Good evening and welcome to live updates from the Camrose, where Basingstoke Town are hosting Dartford in the first leg of their Blue Square Bet South play-off semi-final.
