Full-time - Basingstoke Town 1 Eastleigh 0

A good professional job by Town, who saw out the first half when playing into the wind and created some good chances when they had the benefit of it.

See The Monday Gazette for a full report and all of the reaction.

90 min - Town will have to survive three minutes of added time.

89 min - Daly is booked for a foul on the edge of the Eastleigh box.

87 min - McAuley releases Pratt with a great pass but the forward's shot is weak and straight at Davey.

84 min - Appiah is fouled for a late challenge on Dunn, with the resulting free-kick put over the bar by Little.

82 min - Sills has been limping and he is replaced by midfielder Simon Dunn.

81 min - Bubb gets between two defenders but fails to make proper contact on a cross from the right and Bayes is able to gather.

77 min - Eastleigh bring on Richard Gillespie for Flood and have a great chance seconds later. Bubb does brilliantly in the area before setting up Appiah, whose effort from just inside the box is wastefully wide.

Town goal - McAuley puts in a corner from the left and Sills gets above his marker at the far post. Again the ball hits the underside of the bar, but this time it goes in, possibly off the back of Davey.

75 min - GOAL - Basingstoke Town 1 (Sills) Eastleigh 0

75 min - A good bit of pressure from Town, with Lake turning well before putting in a low cross that is only just cut out.

67 min - That's the closest Eastleigh have come as Tom Jordan gets up to head a cross on goal at the far post. Bayes does well to tip the looping effort onto the roof of the net.

63 min - McAuley works space for a shot from the edge of the box but it goes harmlessly over.

62 min - Sills gets a volleyed shot in from a corner but it's deflected wide. They go even closer from the resulting corner, MacDonald losing his marker to head against the underside of the bar.

The ball bounces down on the line but the officials rule that it did not go in.

61 min - Nelson is booked for a foul on Sam-Yorke.

59 min - Sills gets a head to a corner from the left but he is unable to keep his effort down.

Eastleigh make their first change, replacing Michael Green with new signing Gary Elphick.

57 min - Rogers smashes a shot well over from just inside the area.

46 min - Eastleigh get the second half under way. No changes at the break.

Town break down the right and the ball eventually breaks to Toby Little. His shot is blocked by an Eastleigh defender, possibly with a hand, but he knew very little about it.

Half-time - Basingstoke Town 0 Eastleigh 0

Considering they were playing against the conditions, Town will be pretty pleased with that first half display. Eastleigh were on top but Bayes has not had a save to make yet.

43 min - Town break through Sills and it's a decent opening but he cannot find the right ball, with three players waiting.

42 min - McAuley smashes in an angled drive but it's well over.

40 min - The resulting free-kick finds MacDonald at the far post and while he slips, the header forces visiting 'keeper Jack Davey into a save at his near post.

39 min - Andy Forbes is booked for a cynical foul on Sam-Yorke, who looked to be going through. There was a player covering though, so a yellow card was the right call.

37 min - Ashley Bayes does well to palm a cross away under pressure and Nelson heads the resulting corner well over.

36 min - Town are under pressure at the moment and nearly hand the visitors the lead with an own-goal, Sills attempted clearance hitting MacDonald and going narrowly wide.

34 min - Eastleigh's Scott Rogers is booked for a late tackle on Stuart Lake.

28 min - Bubb does well to keep the ball in play and Damian Scannell floats in a dangerous cross that just evades the strikers and does not go far wide.

24 min - Phillip Appiah shoots from distance - but the effort is weak and well wide.

22 min - McAuley's corner from the left finds Angus MacDonald but his header is deflected wide.

18 min - Chris Flood does well down the Eastleigh left but his pull-back fails to find Bubb, who was in space.

12 min - Shaun McAuley handballs just outside the area but Mitchell Nelson's powerful shot smashes into the wall.

1 min - Town get the game underway. They obviously lost the toss because Eastligh have both the wind and the sun at their backs in the first half, defending the Clubhouse End of the ground.

Team news - For the first time in a while, Town are injury free, with the exception of long-term absentee Ross Adams. The only player missing is Matt Warner, who is in America on business, while Adam Mekki has been recalled by parent club Aldershot Town.

Looks like an attacking 4-2-3-1 shape for Town, with Delano Sam-Yorke and David Pratt supporting Tim Sills.

Striker Bradley Bubb, who was on loan at Basingstoke untill a couple of weeks ago, makes his debut as an Eastleigh player.

Town: Bayes, Rice, Little, MacDonald, Gasson, Lake, Daly, McAuley, Sills, Pratt, Sam-Yorke. Subs: Smart, Ogunbote, Dunn, Gradwell, Morris.

Eastleigh: Davey, Forbes, Green, Brown, Jordan, Nelson, Appiah, Rogers, Bubb, Scannell, Flood. Subs: Smith, Elphick, Montgomery, Gillespie, Barfoot.
