BASINGSTOKE Rangers had a few players missing for the trip to Basingstoke Royals, including goalkeeper Dave Oliver, and their cause was not helped in this Premier Division clash when player/manager Ben Coe was sent off for handball, reducing them to 10 men.

Mark Horton gave Royals the lead after 20 minutes and it remained just the one goal until the 75th minute, when Coe handled and was sent off and Craig Barker made it 2-0 from the penalty kick.

Two minutes later Rangers reduced the arrears from a penalty taken by Paul Oliver, but in the closing stages Barker, Dan Trump and Brendon Vickery netted three more to make the final score 5-1.
