NORTH Hampshire golfer Justin Rose held his nerve on the final day to win the BMW Championship.

The 31-year-old led by four shots going into the last round - but it was no walk in the park.

Rose saw his lead reduced to just one shot with two holes remaining but was able to chip in for a birdie at the par four 17th and a par at the last confirmed a level par round of 71 and victory.

The former Robert May's School pupil carded rounds of 63 (-8), 68 (-3) and 69 (-2) earlier in the tournament to lead from start to finish.

The victory means he is now third in the FedEx Cup Standings with just one tournament, the Tour Championship, to go.
