A THRILLER on ice was what the Chillier show at the Basingstoke Arena proved to be last week.
The two performances were played in front of packed |audiences and the extra show on Friday night raised over a £1,000 for Help for Heroes - adding to the success of the show.
As well as skaters heading to the Winter Olympics in Vancouver early next year, the show also showcased the talents of over 80 Basingstoke Ice Skating Club members.
Record-breaking seven times British champion Jenna McCorkell led the international cast, which included her husband from Belgium, Kevin van der Perren, Russian pairs skaters Fiona Zaldua and Dmitry Sukhanov and Frenchman Damien Djordjevic.
The show was based around the music of Michael Jackson and other top British skaters in action were reigning Men’s champion Matthew Parr, along with Karly Robertson and pairs skaters Christina Chitwood and Mark Hanretty.
It proved to be another great night of skating that was just as good as the Dancing Queen show earlier in the year.
The next ice show to be held at the Basingstoke Arena will take place this weekend when the Basingstoke Ice Skating Club hold their annual show, this year entitled A Seasonal Christmas on Ice.
In total, over 250 skaters will be taking part from the ice tots to adult skaters.
There are two shows on both Saturday and Sunday, timed at 3.30pm and 7.30pm, and tickets are still available from the box office on 01256 355266.
