BLUEWAVE were delighted to continue with their achievements with a 100 per cent pass rate at the Taekwondo Chungdokwan GB Black Belt grading in London.

Four members of Bluewave attended the Taekwondo Chungdokwan Great Britain Black Belt grading and should be proud of their performances.

For each of them this was the final part of many months of intense preparation both within the club and at national training events.

They showed quality performances across all the disciplines of Taekwondo - something that Bluewave looks to achieve.

They underwent a rigorous test of all aspects of their Taekwondo covering the traditional martial arts aspects, self defence and the Olympic style of sparring under the watchful eyes of the Taekwondo Chungdokwan GB Dan Grading Panel consisting of the Senior Masters of TCGB.

The club was delighted with the achievements of the students. This was a reflection of their hard work and preparation of the members and that of their Instructors and showed that the standard from Bluewave was up with the best in the country.

The following well deserved promotions were achieved,

Ria Mistry to 1st Dan, Shailesh Mistry to 2nd Dan, Jonny Hainsworth to 4th Dan and Gerry Reilly to 7th Dan

The club are delighted with the achievement of 1st Dan of Ria Mistry and the continued development and progression of Shailesh Mistry and Jonny Hainsworth to more senior Dan grades.

However there is a special mention for Gerry Reilly with the achievement of his 7th Dan, now joining a small group of this grade in the country.

This is a demonstration of his commitment and focus to his own personal development as well as that for his promotion of Taekwondo generally.
