CHINEHAM Park Running vice chairman Ray Walker was over the moon to pick up the Club of the Year award for his club.
Walker from Brighton Hill said: "I am absolutely blown away and it is a fantastic achievement for all at the club. It is a cherry on the top of the cake for us."
"The club is a well oiled machine and I am really proud to be part of it."
Chineham Park Running has been going for eight years and last September a lot of hard work paid off as they achieved Clubmark Accreditation.
They meet three to four times a week and have an excellent structured training pre schedule helping the overall standard and individual fitness to increase significantly. Runners have entered 5k, 10k, 10 mile, full and half marathons and the ultra marathons which are over 50km.
At the Southern Cross Country the club finished 14th in the league and members also participated in the Destination Basingstoke Half marathon.
