THE Basingstoke Bison will look to continue their fine form of 2017 and make it five straight wins this weekend, when they face the Bracknell Bees.
Another derby day battle is expected with the Herd looking to complete a six game clean sweep of victories over the Bees, for the first time since season 2010/11.
Basingstoke has proved to a tough place for Bracknell to visit in recent years and since these sides locked horns in the EPL, the Bees have have only won once in 20 games and this was after a penalty shoot-out.
With just one game this weekend the Bison will be keen to take the two points and keep themselves in the mix for third place in the EPL table.
They will still be without British forward Joe Miller for the game which has a 6.30pm face-off.
Looking ahead to the game, Bison head coach Doug Sheppard said: “Bracknell are fighting to make the play-offs and being a local derby there is bragging rights up for grabs. We want to carry on our winning run and being our only game of the weekend it makes it more important to get the two points, otherwise we will lose ground on the teams around us.”
