ODIHAM and Greywell Cricket Club were awarded the Stan Foster trophy in 2015 for the most improved ground in the Hampshire League.

The club can trace its origins back to 1764, making it reputedly the third oldest cricket club in the world and they are on the look out for new players to help them continue their raise through the Hampshire Leagues.

Odiham currently field three senior teams in the Hampshire League, with the first team in the County Division Four North, the second XI play in the Regional Division Two North and thirds in Division Four North East.

They also have a ladies team playing in the Hampshire Women’s League Division One and two Sunday teams.

They are particularly keen to attract young competitive players who would be looking to play league cricket on a regular basis.

However they are happy to welcome any new members both male or female.

If you are interested in getting a taste of the club please go along to their winter training session which are held at the Sutton Sports Hall at Lord Wandsworth College. The sessions are run from 7pm until 9pm every Wednesday evening.

They also have a thriving junior cricket section with girls and boys from under seven all the way through to under 15s. Last season they fielded a total of 12 different junior sides at all levels of the North East Hampshire Youth Cricket League and enjoyed success in various county cups.

Anyone interested in joining the junior section should send an e-mail carol.neath@outlook.com Other information about the Odiham club can be found at odihamandgreywell.play-cricket.
