THE Abacus Employment Hatch Warren Phoenix Flames and Blaze under-eights made their first visits to Loddon and Down Grange.

The Flames, coached by Carl North, produced some terrific playmaking right through the team.

Defender Brayden Bavister earned his man-of-the-match award against Loddon, setting up plays from midfield.

On the other pitch, the Phoenix Blaze, supported by three under-seven Inferno players, player-of-the-match Mia Chandler, George Sharp and Charlie Allen, all proved how much they had developed as they attacked in numbers.

Allen continues to shine brightly, with a clutch of goals and assists to his name already this season, while Matthew Dick, Toby Osborne and Harry Hartgill did well during the game.

The Flames then had a tough time against Chineham Tigers. Goalkeeper Ben Perry made a number of good saves on the way to his spirit-of-the-game award.

Jack Ross and Charlie North shared the man-of-the-match awards.

The Blaze then dominated their game against Chineham, with man-of-the-match Xavier Kirby-Payne, Matthew Bull and striker Peter Allen controlling affairs.

The Phoenix under-seven Inferno side were also in action at Loddon.

The Loddon goalkeeper made a string of saves from Niall Waite and spirit-of-the-game winner Georgie Gambling.

Toby Fuller was the man-of-the-match for his enthusiasm and hard work, while a special mention should go to Harry Cottrell for his robust defending.

In the other game against Loddon, Thomas Woodward was man-of-the-match, driving forward down the wings, while Dylan Brockbank was the spirit-of-the-game winner with some intelligent runs into space.

The side then got amongst the goals against Chineham Tigers as Gambling, George Sharpe and James Owen all scored hat-tricks, while there was one apiece from Mia Holland and debutant man-of-the-match Daniel Thrower.

Spirit-of-the-game went to goalkeeper Thomas Leake for keeping a clean sheet.

In the second game, man-of-the-match Brockbank struck up a formidable attacking partnership with Stanley Garret and Thomas Woodward.

Spirit-of-the-game went to defender Leo Scowen for foiling the attack of an opposition player who was at least twice his size.

The under-13 Phoenix Pumas maintained their unbeaten record in the Testway League with a 7-2 away win at Fordingbridge Turks.

A good goal-kick from Reuben Snook was well controlled by Harry O’Conner, who then ran on 20 yards to slot home the opener.

Another fine solo O’Conner goal and Reece Bowyer’s left foot screamer made it 3-0 at half-time.

The home side scored first after the break, but then good work from Bailey Fuller saw Cameron Moody score, before Bowyer netted his second and O’Conner completed his hat-trick.

Moody scored his second of the game and the Pumas’ seventh, before the crossbar denied Pranni Subramaniam late on.
