JUST one Hampshire Cricket League game involving local sides survived the wet weather on Saturday.
The rain wiped out most of the schedule, but in Regional Division Four North East, Overton II and Herriard II somehow managed to escape the heavy showers and get a game in.
Hosts Overton batted first and were bowled out for 130, with Roy Down taking 5-46 for Herriard. However, the visitors were unable to get the runs they needed, Andy Gould taking 4-14 as Herriard were dismissed for 94 to give Overton a 36-run victory.
The only other completed Hampshire Cricket League fixture involving sides from the north of the county came on Sunday, Hartley Wintney Ladies suffering defeat away at Burridge in Women’s Division Two.
