BASINGSTOKE Town fans will honour long-serving kitman Derek Cailes by carrying on the good work he always did decorating the Camrose during the close season.

Cailes passed away last month following a short illness. He was a member of a small team of volunteers who gave up their time to give the Camrose a spruce up each summer.

This Saturday has been dedicated as Do it for Derek Day, with volunteers planning to tidy up and give the ground a fresh lick of paint.

All are welcome to go down and help out, with bacon sandwiches and drinks supplied to volunteers. Contact Paul Waller on 07887 563266 or for more information or to confirm your attendance.
