OVERTON United A moved to the top of the Basingstoke and District Saturday League Division One table with a 9-0 victory over bottom side Herriard Sports.
Darren White, Serge Holland and Charlie Palmer had Overton three goals up in no time and further strikes from Harry Palmer and Wayne Barlow made it 5-0 at half-time.
Four more goals followed after the break, with John Sayer getting on the scoresheet and Harry Palmer, Barlow and White all completing braces.
Lewis Hamilton scored all of Bramley United’s goals as they beat Hook Reserves 3-2. Hook led at half-time thanks to an own-goal but Hamilton’s hat-trick had his side 3-1 ahead and while Jack McKee pulled one back late on, Hook were unable to complete the comeback.
Bramley were in action again on Monday night, beating Chineham Albion 4-1. Albion took the lead through Tim Wright but a Phil Mark hat-trick and Simon Goff’s strike secured the points for United.
