BASINGSTOKE young tennis star Esther Adeshina was awarded the Hampshire and IOW Lawn Tennis Association Junior Player of the Year for 2013.
The award was in recognition of a fantastic 12 months during which Adeshina represented Great Britain several times in international events.
She was also a member of the 14 and under Girls David Lloyd Southampton team that won the AEGON Team Tennis Premier National Finals in July and the 14 and under Girls Hampshire and Isle of Wight County team that went to the County Cup National finals two months earlier.
During 2013, the Basingstoke player represented GB in the 12 and under Girls Tennis Europe Winter Cups and in international friendly tennis events against Croatia, Belgium, Netherlands, Bulgaria and France.
In addition to her exceptional team achievements, Adeshina achieved success individually in various national and international tournaments during the year.
Most recently she won the national title at the 12 and under Girls Winter National Tour in November.
She is ranked number three in the AEGON 12 and under Girls rankings.
