OVER 600 parents and pupils attended the annual sports awards at Bishop Challoner Catholic Secondary School.

The entertainment on the evening was provided by former and present pupils Edgar and Odette Hornby, who are both Great Britain fencers.

Pupils received their awards from special guests Tony Wilkin, representing the Wooden Spoon charity, Richard Fitzpatrick from Basingstoke Rugby Club, and London Irish community executive Ollie Braley and current Exiles player Tom Homer.

The major awards on the evening went to Holly Curran (taekwondo), Molly Goffin (swimming), Joe Forde (rugby), Aaron Wortt (skiing) and Miles Bromilow (tennis).

After a great evening, Chris Sheers, head of PE at Bishop Challoner, said: β€œIt is a fantastic opportunity to reward and acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our pupils.”
