FC EVEREST moved to the top of the Basingstoke and District Sunday League Division Three table with a 6-3 win at AFC Golden Lion.
Alex Spencer hit a hat-trick for Everest, adding to goals from Mike Shingle, Stuart Woods and Colin Bell, while Luke Upton, Chris Waller and Mike Brodie netted for Golden Lion.
UWS survived a comeback from hosts North Warnborough II to win 5-2. The visitors were three up at half-time but North Warnborough scored twice to reduce the deficit to a single goal, only for UWS to secure the points with two late goals.
Mauricio Freitas put Chineham Athletic ahead in the very first minute against Railway Club, while second-half goals from Mike Rogers and Mark Fox completed a 3-0 win.
