PURE Spartan continue to lead the way in Basingtoke and District Saturday League Division One after a 5-1 win over Herriard Sports.

A double from Steve Tickner set them on their way and while Tyler Lee pulled one back, Olly Owen, Chris Dobbie and Darren Clift completed the rout.

Skewers were made to pay for the early dismissal of Jamie Perryman as they lost 4-2 at Bramley United.

The striker received his marching orders after just five minutes and Bramley took advantage, Stuart Leddy scoring twice before half-time and Stuart Woods extending the lead soon after. Goals from Simon Jane and Jon Glennister got Skewers back into the game but Leddy completed his hat-trick to make the game safe late on.

Tadley Calleva A are up to second after a 3-2 win over Hook Reserves. Andy Haig gave Hook an early lead and while goals from Gary Harper and Dan Walkley turned the game around, Haig's second levelled things at 2-2 - but Stephen Burgess got the winner five minutes from time.
