THREE Aldworth Science College pupils will represent Hampshire at next year’s County Championships in Birmingham.

The trio are twin sisters Amber Clare and Jade Clare and Victoria Butler-Clack, after they qualified for the event after finishing in the top three of the Hampshire Championships held in Southampton.

Jade Clare was third in the 80 metres and Victoria Butler Clack did likewise in the under-13 girls hurdles.

Amber Clare had the most success, winning the 600 metres in a time of 1min 46sec.

This is the second year of competition for the Basingstoke and Mid Hants athlethe.

She has also competed in the Alder Valley and Wessex League meetings and is ranked first in the South East of England and fourth in Britain with a personal best of 1min 45.9 sec for the 600m.

The 12-year-old is also a very good 200m runner, being ranked second in the South East, and also competes in the shot put.
