BASINGSTOKE Sports and Social Club, based at May’s Bounty, are holding their first ever community fun day on Sunday.

It is open to all to allow everyone in the town to see what this hidden gem at the top of the town has to offer.

The day will run from midday to 3pm, with a host of sports on offer for children to try including rugby, squash, football and cricket, as well as a tug of war, bungy ropes and a bouncy castle.

The pavilion will be open for the day and there will be a barbecue, as well as live music in the evening.

Free parking is available and will be on the rugby field behind May’s Bounty, which can be accessed via Bounty Road.

Andy Giles, chairman of the cricket section said: “The day is all about promoting what is going on at the club. We are close to the town centre, but I think people forget we are there.

“All the sections are looking forward to making it a great day and there is certainly something for everyone.”
