ODIHAM professional boxer Matt Goddard is looking to continue his punch-perfect start to his ring career at the Southampton Guildhall on November 30.
The 21-year-old is aiming to make it three wins out of three in his first outing in his native Hampshire.
Goddard has had plenty of top-class sparring, with world-rated Welshman Gavin Rees and Ben Murphy, who is currently preparing for a crack at the vacant British lightweight title.
This time around the Odiham fighter makes his debut at light-welterweight in Southampton after starting his career at 9st 9lbs and he says he’s planning to be faster and sharper.
Goddard said: “ I’m really enjoying boxing. I’m buzzing. I just want to keep fighting – and keep winning.”
Also at the Guildhall is Basingstoke’s Darryl Still, while the bill is topped by a Southern Area title bout between Jon Fernandes and Jamie Speight. Tickets for the evening can be purchased from Goddard on 07803 837129 or Still on 07584 994624.
