THE Basingstoke Bison completed a four point weekend over their local rivals the Slough Jets thanks to a thrilling penalty shoot-out victory in Berkshire on Sunday night.
The Herd winners 6-2 on home ice the previous night opened the scoring at the Hangar from Greg Owen and still led at the first buzzer.
The Jets once again took until the third period to beat Stevie Lyle as Tomas Valecko scored which sent the game into overtime
That failed to split the teams, but the shoot-out did as Greg Chambers and Jaroslav Cesky on hs debut weekend beat Gregg Rockman, while only Frantisek Bakrlik could find a way past Lyle.
