Flooding causes sewage to spill into road

FLOODING caused raw sewage to spill out into the centre of Romsey on New Year's Day.
Part of Winchester Road in Romsey were shut as emergency crews try to deal with the spillage.
The sewage came out of the drainage system near to The Plaza.
The town was badl affected by flooding with Cupernham Lane also closed.
Police reported road closure in Ampfield and North Baddesley as a result of the weather.
