A MAN has died after his car overturned and landed in the River Test near Whitchurch.
The incident happened just before 9pm on yesterday evening, on the B3400 at Hurstbourne Priors.
Police believe the 30-year-old man lost control of a silver Vauxhall Vectra, causing the car to overturn and land upside in the river.
No other vehicles were thought to have been involved.
The man, from Tidworth, Wiltshire, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are appealing for anyone who saw the crash to contact PC Jerry Byron, at Whitchurch Roads Policing Unit, on 101, quoting Operation Sedgwick.
