THREE men attacked two others in Basingstoke town centre, using belts as weapons.

The brawl took place outside the Post Office in Winchester Street, between 2.40am and 3.15am on Sunday, June 23.

The two assaulted men, both aged 21, sustained minor injuries.

Two men, aged 19 and 24, were arrested and bailed until August 5, pending further enquiries.

Officers released a CCTV picture of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the brawl.

PC Mick Ahearne said: “This would have caused quite a disturbance in a busy area of town.

“I would like to hear from anyone who saw this incident or who knows who the man in the white t-shirt is.”

Anyone with information can contact PC Ahearne at Basingstoke police station on 101, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
