BRILLIANT Christmas cards have been designed by Basingstoke schoolchildren raising money for charity.
Year 8 pupils at Cranbourne Business and Enterprise College, in Wessex Close, created their own cards with paintings, collages and other artwork, which were professionally printed by a charity card company.
Each student then bought their printed cards from the printers, which donated the money to Great Ormond Street Hospital and Turner Syndrome Support Society.
The art department at the school supported the project by helping students to plan and design the festive cards during lessons.
Sales of the cards raised £200 for the charities.
Jane Koster, Year 8 progress manager who organised the project, said: “The students worked really hard on their designs and they do look absolutely brilliant.”
