A ROBBER used a knife to threaten a vulnerable man on a Basingstoke footbridge.
The robbery took place at 6am on Saturday, November 10, on the bridge that connects Abbey Road and Stratfield Road in Popley.
The man approached the 63-year-old victim and produced a knife. A small amount of cash and a travel clock was stolen.
The offender is described as of mixed race, 6ft tall and wore a dark grey hooded top.
Detective Constable Sol Koranteng, of Basingstoke CID, said: “This was a frightening incident for the victim, who although wasn’t injured, was left very shaken.
“There may have been people in the area going out to get a morning paper who may have seen this incident or a man matching the description.”
