A TEENAGER was punched in the face outside Wonderland nightclub in Basingstoke.

The 17-year-old boy was walking with a friend at about 3am on October 14 when they were approached by a group of people.

The pair was verbally abused before one was punched in the face, and fell onto the concrete steps opposite the nightclub, which run from Churchill Way to Alencon Link. He suffered injuries to his face and several broken teeth.

PC Aaron Bendall, from Basingstoke police station, said: “This was an unprovoked attack which left the victim with nasty injuries. Do you recognise the man in the CCTV image? If you know who it might be, please contact me as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Bendall on 101.

Seems Basingstoke is best avoided at night - unprovoked violent incidents being reported regularly.
