BCoT part-time AAT (accounting) students have been rewarded for their hard work at an awards lunch hosted by CMA Recruitment Group.

CMA Recruitment Group are a leading independent accountancy and finance, executive and HR consultancy. They organised the lunch in recognition of the students’ academic achievements and commitment to their studies.

During lunch held at Zizzi in Basingstoke, students were presented with Champagne, a trophy and book tokens.

Winner of the Level 2 ‘CMA annual AAT Student of the Year Award’ was Elisha Ofori-Boakye. He said: “I started off at BCoT studying for my Level 2 AAT while working voluntarily at the same time to get some valuable experience in accounting. Since then, I have progressed on to the Level 3 course and have managed to get a paid job, which CMA helped me to find. Winning this award for my hard work at Level 2 will look great on my CV and will really benefit my career.”

The awards were presented to the students by Hayley Surey, recruitment consultant at CMA. She said: “CMA Recruitment Group has worked with colleges across the southern region for more than 15 years. The aim is to acknowledge students for their outstanding work and achievements.

“We will continue to work closely alongside the colleges with the intention of assisting local students in their careers and long term futures. CMA would particularly like to acknowledge, and thank, Angela Greening, co-ordinating lecturer of accounting at BCoT, for her assistance throughout the process.”
