RESIDENTS at a Whitchurch residential home had a "magical" afternoon horsing around this month.
Staff and residents at Berehill House hosted a special guest from The Therapy Pony Visit on Friday, March 17.
Mr Kellogg, a miniature Shetland pony from Pony Pals, is a therapy pony trained to visit residents in their room as well as using the home's lift.
Laura Marston, activities co-ordinator, said: "Staff and residents were thrilled by the experience.
"Our residents absolutely loved seeing Mr Kellogg and Caroline and you could see the joy on everyone's faces."
She added visits like these are invaluable as they evoke memories of their life, which is always fun, and that it puts smiles on faces.
Manager Michelle Hart said the afternoon was "magical" and that it was very emotional to see people that are not very forthcoming normally talk to Mr Kellogg.
