TWO STUDENTS from a Basingstoke college are jumping for joy after their designs won a competition.
In a collaboration between Queen Mary’s College (QMC) and Jump Factory, students doing the level three extended diploma in art and design were given a project brief to transform some of the rooms at the Daneshill Industrial Estate leisure facility.
Second year art students Chloe Cadman and Lily Morris were the lucky students to be selected for their new designs for the party rooms at the facility and they will now get to paint their artwork onto the walls, starting on February 22.
The new rooms will then be open again to the public in early March.
Richard White, partner at the Jump Factory, approached QMC with the idea for the students to re-design the rooms.
Mr White said: “We’re really excited and the finished designs are great.”
