A MAN suffered serious injuries after a collision with a van near a Basingstoke hotel.
The crash took place in Popley Way, Popley, near the Apollo Hotel, at 7.27am this morning.
The pedestrian in collision with the van suffered “serious but not life-threatening injuries”, police said. The man was taken by ambulance to Basingstoke hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
Police closed the road in both directions between Don Allen Drive and the Aldermaston Road Roundabout, which caused tailbacks on the eastbound carriageway of the A339 Ringway North.
The road was reopened by 8.30am.
