THE force is strong in Basingstoke as fans filled the Vue Cinema for the first screening of the latest journey to a galaxy far, far away.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi opened around the country at midnight, with fans eager to be the first to catch a glimpse of Rey, Finn, Poe and BB8 in the latest film from the multi-million-pound franchise.
Vue Cinema, in Festival Place, was sold out for its midnight viewing with admirers of the dark side wanting to be among the first to see if the film lived up to the hype.
If you haven’t seen the film yet, there are still plenty of opportunities. To find viewing times, visit festivalplace.co.uk/leisure/vue-cinema.
