AN INVESTIGATION has been launched following a incident in an underground car park in Alencon Link.
Officers attended and an area of the car park under Crown Heights at 7.30pm last night, when a 33-year-old man was assaulted.
South Central Ambulance Service sent a response vehicle, an officer, an ambulance and a car from the air ambulance to the scene.
The area was cordoned off while police started their investigation, with the man being taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment to injuries which appear to have been inflicted with a bladed implement.
An investigation has begun and enquiries are ongoing. The information available at this time suggests this is an isolated incident.
