A MOTORIST arrested following a fatal road crash in Basingstoke last week has been charged.
Richard Storry, 34, of Evesharm Road, Worcestershire, has been charged with causing death by driving without due care and attention while unfit through drink.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court today.
It follows a crash on the A339 at Winslade, close to the Lasham turning, at 11.55pm on May 12 involving a Volkwagen Golf and a Volkswagen Tiguan.
The driver of the Golf, a 27-year-old man from Alton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting Operation Harmonic.
