THIEVES broke into a property in Mapledurwell in the early hours of this morning.
Police reported that three men were seen leaving a vehicle in Frog Lane between 4.30am and 4.35am this morning, before making their way to the property in Tunworth Road.
The thieves then broke into the garden shed, before being disturbed and leaving empty handed.
This follows a spate of rural burglaries in the villages which surround Basingstoke.
PC Andrew Reid said: “I ask if anyone was up and about in the village or local area or has any CCTV that may cover the village if they could please check this for any movement during the early hours.
“In the event of finding anything suspicious please let me know as soon as possible.”
If anyone has any information they should contact Basingstoke CID on 101 or call Crimestopper anonymously on 0800 555 111.
